Iridescence can be found all throughout nature, from the captivating sheen of a beetle to the subtle shimmer beneath a delicate shell. In this project, I crafted six gradients inspired by the wings of a butterfly. The goal was to faithfully replicate iridescence observed in the natural realm. As the project reached its completion, our creations were showcased in the gallery of the Julian T. White Building.
This project was created for ART 2552: Color Design under the direction of Meghan Saas.
